Life Lesson: “There’s the whole world at your feet.”
Even though Bert was a chimney sweep, he helped the children’s father realize that there were more important things than work. One day, he wold look at his family and they would be all grown-up. He helped them realize that he needed to spend time with them now before it was too late. Also, there was a balance between fun and family and work.
I like Mary Poppins because Bert knew what was important. It was important to follow your dream. When I was growing up I had a hard time learning to read. My dream was to learn to read and to write books and let people know my struggles. It told a long time and I got frustrated, but I never gave up on my dream.
