Life Lesson : ” The past can hurt but the way I see it you can either run from it or learn from it.”
When Simba was little he thought he let his dad down because he did not know if he wanted to be king. He ran away from home. When Simba grew up , Rafiki came looking for him. He said to Simba, you have to go back home and take your place as king. Simba knew he was right, so he went home and took his place as king.
That is why I love this quote, because I was born with weak muscles. I had to go to physical therapy every day to learn how to crawl and walk. Then I was diagnosed with dyslexia and I did not learn to read until high school.
All I ever wanted was to be an author and tell my story. A lot of my friends in school were saying there is no way that you can be an author because of your dyslexia . Because of what my friends told me I thought they were right. So, I doubted myself. But then one of my teachers told me to not listen to other people or your friends. She said I think you should try.
I decided to start writing and see where it would take me. And they accepted one of my books to be published. Now I am living my dream of being an author. And it is all because I never gave up and believed in myself.
